I'm confident you CAN pull it off with Audulus if you know enough about how to get that sound. The only thing it's lacking for guitar is built-in guitar amp/cab modeling. All the basics are there to build any type of modulation, delay, reverb, way pedal, etc. Distortions in Audulus sound as good as Bias FX and are far more flexible. You can mix any sound to any other sound have it all controlled with a volume envelope. Well, I was finally able to create that effect with Audulus. All pedals out there are lacking in one degree or another but none of them replicate the distortion when you overload the input by leaning heavy on a volume pedal. I have an old Maestro Echoplex tape delay that I'm always trying to replace with a more convenient pedal. Some ‘quick’ fixes include download other file management programs, save to your desktop (I’m trying to stay away from the desktop, hence the use of an iPad), use of ‘the cloud’ which is not something I want to do. Got the last Audulus update.and file downloads are so convoluted to be nearly unusable. When iOS12 came out it looked like more apps were going to be lost.and some updates gained. Well, I had other apps that wouldn’t work in iOS11 so reluctantly held off updating.
You could download patches, creativity was good! Then they updated it and it was required to have iOS11 to take advantage of all the new features including better file handling. There are lots of great tools to figure out what’s happening in your or someone else’s patches too. Whenever I’m stuck, I know I can go to their forum and get answers. It’s been a great way to learn more about synthesis and digital signal processing in general. It hasn’t taken too much effort relative to the benefits of learning how to put modules together and to create my own patches. I use the app all the time to integrate it as a synth or effect in AUM, Audiobus, and Cubasis. The app is very stable now even when editing patches. The integration with the files app is great and being able to search and sort your patches by date makes finding things very easy. The people on the Audulus forum are both knowledgeable and helpful.

The Audulus 3.5 update is really great with all of the new modules and nodes you can access from inside your patches. #AUDULUS SEQUENCER PATCH#
Update () - This latest update (V3.5) significantly improves the usability of the patch library taking advantage of the new iOS 11 Files browser. Audulus is well supported (check out the forum discussions, tutorials, and recorded live streams) and the developers and user-community are more than happy to answer any questions. It certainly isn't your run-of-the-mill canned synthesizer (you must do a little work to make it go "beep"), but once you've learned some of the basics, the capability depth is unlimited. Without a doubt, the best tool to learn and build synthesis engines. I've had Audulus since early 2013 and it should be considered "Legendary" in the iOS synth world.
